Disney Frozen Movie Review #DisneyFrozenEvent

Today is the Day many of you have been waiting for, the day that Disney Frozen hits the big screen.  I am personally elated because my kids have been bugging me to take them to go see the movie especially since I as able to attend the White Carpet Premiere of the movie.  Everyday I hear “Mommy is Frozen in the movies yet?”  Well tonight I get to surprise them and take them as soon as I get home from work.  So I am going to restate the obvious I LOVE the Magic of Disney, it absolutely warms my heart!  And this film didn’t disappoint it truly kept the Magic of Disney going.

After I walked the White Carpet I grabbed my bucket of popcorn, my 3D Glasses, ran to my seat, watched a movie short called “Get A Horse” which I will be telling you about soon (or you can see if you are checking out Frozen) and enjoyed Disney’s Frozen.  Frozen is not the traditional Disney Movie we are used to and because I don’t want to spoil the twists that are in the movie I will only give you a snippet of why it’s not a traditional Disney movie.  There is a twist on True Love vs Romantic Love in this movie…hahahaha I know that’s not much but when you see the movie you will figure it out.

The Story line:

In “Frozen,” fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna’s sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

The movie is a tale about fear vs love!

My opinion of the movie:

It’s a must see movie.  Disney has done it again, first with the twist they gave in Brave and now the twist in Frozen.  The actors and actresses are amazing and you will indeed fall in love with the characters. Olaf is indeed “Someone worth melting for” and Kristen Bell really brought the character of Anna to life.  While I love the imagery, the acting and the singing.  I love the story line the most, and I can relate to the character Elsa the most.  Many times we fear to be who we are because we are afraid we won’t be accepted or loved, so we hide behind masks or in this case gloves.  I love how she was able to overcome her fear of being herself and let her hair loose while embracing who she was meant to be.  This is inspirational to young children, especially these days as many of them struggle with their identities.  Heck, many of us adults struggle with our identities.

Disney was able to capture these struggles and place a positive spin on self acceptance and love.  Love for yourself and love from others, that’s the key!!!  Now what was traditional about this movie, was Disney’s ability to capture its audience via signing and comedy.  Anna played by Kristen Bell is a very comedic character, I love her spunk and Olaf is the character that you fall in love with the moment he hits the big screen.  While he is a fictional character (in the sense that I have never met a talking snowman…lol) he is a character with a lot of heart and a ton of spunk.  He will make your heart melt.

This is definitely a must see for the entire family.  It’s fun loving, positive and best of all its a TRUE Disney Classic.  Head out tonight to go see it and don’t forget to follow all social media for Disney Frozen below:

  2. […] The short Get A Horse is quite comical and you will laugh throughout the entire short.  My favorite part is with Clara the Cow and her cellphone, again just another way Disney brought the New School features into this clip by incorporating items that are current to the clip.  I don’t want to spoil what happens in the clip, but I do want to give you a spoiler alert…lol.  Look at the picture above to the right.  Okay you see the hole in the screen where you can see a little color on Pete’s face…well that’s where the screen and things begin to “TURN” literally…hahahaha.  Okay that’s my hint now you have to go check out Frozen to see what I mean, and if you need to decide whether you should go see Frozen, then you definitely need to check out my Disney Frozen Review!  […]
