Marvel’s Agent Carter: My Secret Squirrel Behind the Scenes Look #AgentCarter #ABCTVEvent

It’s not everyday that you get to be employed by the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR), so I enjoyed my day pretending to be Agent Porter on the set of ABC’s newest series Agent Carter.  After interviewing Louis D’Esposito (Co-President of Marvel Studios & Executive Producer on Agent Carter) and Jeph Loeb (Executive Producer on Agent Carter) – see last week’s blog post; we headed over to the set to see Hayley Atwell (Agent Peggy Carter) in action.

Marvel’s Agent Carter: This is a show you don’t want to miss!!!

#AgentCarter #ABCTVEvent

I have been holding this in for MONTHS and it feels soooooo great to be able to finally release this info.  Sooooo remember that tweet I did back on November 4th about heading to a secret squirrel mission?

Yasssss, that tweet.  Well I can finally, finally tell you what my secret squirrel mission was.  Now anyone who knows me, knows this has been really hard for me to hold in.  I haven’t even told the Marine about the experience yet, because I wanted him to experience it right along with the rest of my readers.  So during that secret squirrel mission I had the opportunity to meet with Louis D’Esposito (Co-President of Marvel Studios & Executive Producer on Agent Carter) and Jeph Loeb (Executive Producer on Agent Carter), as well as I had a chance to meet Agent Carter herself Ms. Hayley Atwell (yes insert loud scream here, you know me…smile).  We also toured the Agent Carter set, which will be next week’s blogpost so stay tuned and well we got the inside scoop…FIRST HAND!!!

It was myself along with 24 other bloggers and the Marvel Secret Squirrel Security team (no that’s not a joke…Marvel is serious about it’s secrets, which is why I feel so blessed to have been privy into the secret world of Marvel Land..smile), and we were able to preview some never seen footage in a private Disney screening room.  The footage was literally fresh off the press, in fact there were scenes that hadn’t even been edited and we could still see the green screen in some scenes.  It was amazing listening to the passion behind this project and being told first hand by the E.P. their concept and vision behind bringing Agent Carter to ABC TV.  The number one reason for bringing Agent Carter to your TV Set….”Her Story Needed to be Told.”  Let’s be honest, many of us look at her as the love interest of Steve Rogers (aka Captain America), we see her as the feisty dame, or even as a sidekick, but Jeph Loeb quickly pointed out t0 us “Agent Carter is not a sidekick”.  And if you look at the clip posted below you will definitely agree with that statement.

Galavant Series Premiere TONIGHT #Galavant #ABCTVEvent

Once upon a Time a Long Long Long Time ago…well not really that long about it was just in November, but let’s pretend it was longer.  I had the honor of traveling to far far away LA and meeting the Executive Producers as well as the star of ABC’s upcoming Comedy Extravaganza.  It was in this far far away land called LA, that it was determined that I will be tuned into ABC every Sunday night for the next 4 weeks to watch this awesome series.  Here’s a clip and the premise of Galavant:

Screenwriter/executive producer Dan Fogelman (“Crazy, Stupid, Love,” “Tangled,” “Cars”) unites with Broadway and Hollywood award-winning musical team—composer Alan Menken (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast”) and lyricist Glenn Slater (“The Little Mermaid,” “Tangled”) for a highly-anticipated comedy extravaganza. Once upon a time, the dashing hero, Galavant (Joshua Sasse), lost the love of his life, Madalena (Mallory Jansen), to the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson). Now, our fallen hero is ready to take revenge and restore his “happily ever after.” But it won’t be without a few twists and turns along the way. “Galavant” will premiere on SUNDAY, JANUARY 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) with two 30 minute episodes, back-to-back on the ABC Television Network. The eight episode series will run through Sunday nights in January.

Disney Infinity 2.0 + My Big Hero 6 Must Have Holiday List #BigHero6Event

Black Friday is just a few days away and well I have the inside scoop on a few MUST have items to add to your Little Diva’s or Little Dude’s holiday list.  By now I am sure you have been to see the movie and are being overwhelmed with fist bumps and “Ba La La La La’s” – well so am I but I totally love it.  That’s why this DivaClaus will be putting quite a few Big Hero 6 items up under the tree this year.  Since Paw Paw decided to spoil them with an XBox One this year, the Diva will be placing the Disney Infinity 2.0 Starter Pack (Thanks to Disney Infinity) along with the Big Hero 6  Bay Max Figure & the Hiro Figure under the tree for the little ones.

So while in L.A.  I got an inside look at the lastest version of Disney Infinity  and learned that I am really behind the times, boy I need to get with the program. Being an ex-gamer I kind of feel ashamed….I mean at thirty…uhm..yeah not saying that last number I still remember cheat codes for Contra, but since I currently don’t have a gaming system in my house I hadn’t realized how high tech and cool gaming has become. Well I was shown a thing or two during our demo of Disney Infinity 2.0.  First of all, the possibilities are endless, there are like so many options that you can do with this game.  It’s expandable so even once you finish the game, you never truly finish the game because you can use different characters, power discs, and toy boxes to basically create a whole new game.  Plus you can go online with a friend and enter the toy boxes they create.  Disney has yet again created another magical experience with  Disney Infinity 2.0.  Check out this Disney 2.0 Video:

That time I met Fergie (Insert Scream HERE) #ABCTVEvent #AMAS

If today was Wednesday Ms. Fergie would definitely be my #WCW, because she is totally awesome!!!  As you know 2 weeks ago I went to Sunny LA and was able to do a TON of things, one of the perks of my trip was getting to sit and chat with Ms. Fergalicious herself – Fergie.  25 other Divalicious Bloggers and myself had a chance to sit down with Fergie and talk with her about what was currently happening in her life and any upcoming projects she had in the works.  One of the best things about talking to Fergie is that she is a mom, so like most mom’s she boasted about being a new mother, her transition to motherhood and how she is balancing work with being a mom.  It was clear from the start that of all her accolades, that being a mother is the one she is the most proud of.

Feast your eyes on #Feast – A Sneak Peek of this Disney Short #BigHero6Event

Feast your eyes on #Feast – A Sneak Peek of this Disney Short #BigHero6Event

During our day at the Disney Animation Studios, I shared with you that we had a chance to interview Feast Director Patrick Osborne and Producer Kristina Reed. Well today I am going to give you a sneak peek at this fun film short.  Feast appears in the opening previews for Big Hero 6, if you haven’t seen the movie…SHAME ON YOU!!! If you have seen the movie, then you probably are like me and have seen it multiple times.  But for those of you who haven’t seen the movie, check out my Big Hero 6 Movie Review!

What is Feast about?

It’s a movie short that transitions with how our emotions impact our food choices.  How our eating habits change based upon what is happening in our lives and how we feel.  This is all seen through the eyes of the main character, Winston, a homeless Boston Terrier who gets lured into a comfy home with a french fry!  Check out the clip below:

So here are some yummy facts about Feast:

  • Feast is of course inspired by food, so on Fridays the cast would have FEAST Fridays.  Patrick and Kristina noticed there was more participation on Fridays when they didn’t serve “healthier” options.
  • Winston, the dog in Feast is a Boston Terrier.  They chose to use the Boston Terrier Breed for this short because there is no other Boston Terrier featured in any other Disney Animation.  This allowed Winston to be memorable.
  • It took 53 weeks from start of production to Feast’s premiere.
  • The short was inspired by the one second video app – basically recording what was ate daily (over a year’s period) to notice the trends (if any) – this was done during 2012 and when he finished his video was about 6 minutes long.
  • When watching Feast note the Parsley as that’s the pivotal point and a very important symbolism in the short for all characters involved.

So if I could show you exactly what my dream home would look like…wait let me throw this disclaimer out…IF MY FUTURE HUSBAND IS READING THIS BLOGPOST and you want to know what OUR dream home should look like (smile), it should look like the pictures you will see from the set of ABC’s newest comedy black-ish!!  Hopefully, you checked out last week’s blog post where we were able to chat with the kids of the black-ish cast along with the Creator Kenya Barris. If you haven’t checked it out, no worries it’s still posted on my blog.  Click this link HERE and get caught up on the fun.

So I am sure you are wondering what it’s like to tour an actual TV set…Well it is totally AMAZE-BALLS (if you watch Mistresses on ABC you totally know the origin of that word).  I especially enjoyed touring the set of black-ish because it literally was like touring an entire house, as pretty much everything you see on the show (with the exception of the exterior of the house) is right where I am standing.

Dancing With the Stars: My Chance to Rub Elbows with the Stars #ABCTVEvent #DWTS

I’ve had some pretty amazing experiences, but by far I am going to have to admit that attending the Live Taping of Dancing with the Stars is by far one of my favorite.  You already know I am not a huge TV fan, however when attending these events I tend to become a TV junkie.  So in preparation of my trip to LA – the kids and I started watching Dancing with the Stars and we established our favorites.  The Little Diva in Training loves Sadie and Mark.  The Little Dude likes Tommy Chong and Peta – he says it’s because the old man can jam (his words not mine…lol).  And my initial favorite was Johnathan Bennett and Allison (who were eliminated early on), but new favorite (copying off of my kid) is Sadie and Mark.  Not that all of the dancers aren’t awesome, for me it was about the heart of the dancers.  Like with Johnathan he would come out and try harder each week, KNOWING he literally was working with two left feet.  Then with Mark, you can tell he wants Sadie to win really bad, you can literally see it in his eyes.  He has so much faith in her and she too has grown and come a long way.

So prepping for the live taping of Dancing with the Stars required that I be Divalicious.  So I did with my cute Kiyonna Wrap dress along with my gorgeous Distracted by Abstract hose from Haute Hosiery!!! Smoking hot if I must say so myself (pats self on back!!).

Once on the set of Dancing with the Stars, I kind of started to feel anxious.  I have never been to a live taping of a show and wasn’t quite sure what was in store for us.  We parked and headed to the entrance, as we were walking I was able to snap a quick picture of Peta’s parking spot for my son.  On a side note, when I gave him this picture he replied “What is this?” and I told him it was a picture of Peta’s parking space.  In the most serious tone he could muster he said to me “You do know I can’t read right”…lol – needless to say he is more impressed with the picture I got for my daughter than his picture, but hey beggars can’t be choosers!!!

I AM BayMax!!! Voicing #BayMax At the Disney Animation Studios #BigHero6Event

On my way to the Disney Animation Studios, I was playing around taking selfies and saying “I Am Baymax”…lol  Only because I had on my adorable hoodie and because I thought it was funny, not knowing exactly which character I was headed to voice.  Well low and behold, we get to the studio and who am I voicing?  Yep, BayMax…so literally I AM BAYMAX!!!

So I have told you that one of my favorite places to visit on the Disney Press trips is the Animation Studios, one because of the way they decorate for the release of the new movies and secondly, because I LOVE going into the recording booth and doing the voice overs.  My best friend says it’s because I am a Diva and I like to see myself of film and in print, and while there may be just a tad bit of truth in that….I’m sticking with my story that I just LOVE doing the voice overs (smile).  Let’s be honest, how often do you get to voice a Disney Character IN the Disney Animation Studios WHERE the actual talent themselves actually recorded? Yeah like never, well fortunately for me, I can say I have (smile).  So off to the recording booth I go!!!

Big Hero 6: Chatting with The Divas of the Cast #WomanUp #BigHero6Event

Let’s make sure you are up to speed so you can fully follow this journey.  First there was the invite to LA, then there was the Red Carpet Premiere, here’s my review of Big Hero 6, and then there was the visit to the Walt Disney Animation Studios. Whew!!!! Which brings me to this post, during my visit to the Walt Disney Animation Studios we were able to interview the two Divas of Big Hero 6 – Genesis Rodriguez (Voice of Honey Lemon) and Jamie Chung (Voice of Go Go Tomago).

When we first arrived at the Disney Animation Studios, to our surprise Genesis joined us in the lobby and took some photos herself of the amazing Big Hero 6 paraphernalia that graced the lobby.  And let me tell you she had on some GORRRR-GEOUS shoes, OMG!!! I wish I could have gotten a picture for you, but trust me they were hot…lol.  Now hopefully, you have taken the time out to see the film so that you can know will have some insight of our interview.  If not, no worries I will fill you in.  These Divas are what I would call “DivaNerds”…uhm yes WE do exist, it’s a Diva with Beauty, Style, Grace and most importantly BRAINS!!!  Not only is this their real life personalities, it’s also the personalities they play via their animated characters.  Yes, DivaNerds are the complete package, we possess it all (smile).  So without further ado, let me share with your what these DivaNerds had to say:
